Fiorenza Chair, 1952
The Fiorenza armchair, that arflex manufactured in 1952, was the reinterpretation of a 1939 design by Franco Albini, only a few examples of which were ever produced. The arflex model went through various versions, the adaptations mainly concerning the wooden trestle and the way in which it was connected to the upholstered elements.
Thanks to its special design and utilization characteristics, Fiorenza is actually a very comfortable chair with an ergonomic sitting posture for chatting, snoozing or reading. The arflex Fiorenza is comparable to a traditional, high-backed bergère, although its lines are light and the design is in a distinctly contemporary idiom.
