Lastra Suspension Lamp, 1998
Lastra is a suspension fixture providing direct light.
The lamp body is formed by a rectangular, 0.6", transparent tempered glass sheet. 6 pressed glass diffusers with high-temperature polycarbonate diffuser support & white lamp-holder. Power is distributed to the light sources through two silkscreening processes: deposition of a highly conductive silver paste, followed by deposition of a protective ceramic paint. The electronic transformer is secured to the sheet. 4 steel suspension cables and 4 mechanical, die-cast, polished aluminum ceiling fittings (painted gray), with built-in quick adjustment cord.
