Rossi e Arcandi, Italy

Michele De Lucchi

Sterling silver, plastic

H 29 cm

The carafe created by designer Michele de Lucchi for Cleto Munari became an icon of the late-20th century design around 1979 and 1980.

The geometric silver Carafe stands on plastic conical feet and resembles a rocket about to take off. The geometry and forms of the carafe resembles those designs by de Lucchi that comes from the Memhis era, such as the First Chair.
