Born in 1951 Ferrara, Italy

. graduated from University of Florence in 1975,
. one of the founders of the design and architectural group, Cavart that promoted radical design in 1973,
. taught architecture at the Universita di Firenze between 1975-1977,
. moved to Milan for working in design studio Centrokappa of Kartell in 1978,
. assisted Ettore Sottsass for the organization of the first Memphis exhibition,
. worked for Studio Alchimia on domestic electrical tool designs in 1979,
. became consultant for Olivetti, Italy in 1979,
. one of the founders of the co-operative Memphis in 1981,
. designed the geometric motifs on the plastic laminates for Memphis in 1980s,
. founded Solid design group in 1986,
. began teaching at the Domus Academy in 1986,
. established De Lucchi Design Group in early 1990s.
